Jonathan Shadle
received his Bachelor’s of Music degree from The Juilliard School and two Master’s of Music degrees from The Yale School of Music for trumpet performance. Jonathan also attended Aspen Music Festival and was a soloist at Norfolk Chamber Music Festival. In addition to orchestral performance, Jonathan also has performed most of the major brass quintet repertoire and has given solo recitals across the east coast.
Today, Jonathan is a freelance trumpet player in the greater Houston area, and a private trumpet teacher in FBISD, LCSID, SBISD, CFISD and Katy ISD; he is in the process of recording a trumpet album of unique, modern trumpet compositions. Jonathan’s band, Astoria Window was commissioned to write a piece for harp, trumpet, and electronics that was unfortunately postponed due to Covid-19 in 2020, but has been rescheduled for 2023.
